Novak Insurance was founded in 1953 by Harry Novak in the basement of his home.  Within a few years, Harry had moved into an office and his business began to grow rapidly.  Harry quickly gained a reputation as being of the finest people to know that to this day, people he came in contact with still talk about.

The elder Mr. Novak built his business on his own until 1962 when his oldest son Ira graduated from Ohio State and joined his father.  The two worked side by side until Harry's other son joined the business in 1967.  In 1970, Novak Insurance moved to Beachwood where it still occupies the same building for the last 30 years.

In 1979, Ira took control of Novak Insurance and turned it into a highly successful agency that wrote many types of business and large commercial accounts.  He added many strong insurance companies to compliment the ones already represented.

For the next 20 plus years, Ira grew Novak Insurance into a well known, highly successfu7l insurance agency.  In 1995, Ira's youngest son Ryan, graduated from Indiana University and joined his father. Ryan has specialized  in growing the out of state business as well as handling all health insurance.  Ryan's other function has been to move Novak Insurance into a technological position that will satisfy the new demands of the public.
